The traffic has died down and everyone is gearing up for all the holidays ahead (all while trying to find Woolworths' 10 golden tickets scattered across the country). Fear not, the madness hasn't hit us yet and business will carry on as per usual at Schematech, but we will be closed on the 14th, 17th and 27th of April.

The Quadrant Method

Measuring can be exhausting but here is a fresh approach that will speed up the work, as well as crack down on inaccuracy.

Step 1:
Set up your laser anywhere in the middle of your opening. The laser is self-leveling so no need to stress about that.

Step 2
Measure from the edges of the opening to the level and plumb lines of the laser.

From the right and left to the centre at the bottom and the top
From the bottom to the centre on both sides

Step 3:
Calculate the levels by using the difference in the sizes

Sliders, balustrades and showers galore! With a company like Schematech, what more could you ask for?

An attractive piece of hardware that is neat, tidy, easy on the eye and a machine in any room.

He's a tough guy, managing to hold 100kg of glass and catering for larger openings. A guy like this must have his limitations though, right? The easy slider is limited to 1.1m size doors.

Here are two handy tips on the Easy Slider:

When installing the Easy Slider, first install the ‘Glass Connection Track Clamps’ onto the glass, before installing the glass.

The maximum suggested opening size that our system can cover is 1100mm per door.

A New Year's Note from Schematech

Dear << Test First Name >> welcome to your fourth week of 2017 and congratulations on making it this far! We trust you had a wonderful time with your family and loved ones over the festive season.

We've started our New Year with a bang (and we're not talking about fireworks.) Our resolution is to provide you with value, service and quality through monthly product highlights, specials, tool tips, innovation and at the end of it all, to hopefully have you giggling like a little kid behind your desk.

This year is going to be an exciting rollercoaster ride, but don't worry - if you're afraid of heights, we are here to hold your hand.

This month we are boasting our accredited squash court hardware. This includes single and double courts as well as handicapped courts in both configurations.

Luckily, all squash courts are standard which makes these accredited sets your 'one-stop-quick-fit' solution.

Don't be 'that guy.'

When cutting your glass for a squash court, ensure that the holes needing to be countersunk are on the player's side of the glass.

"Why?" you might ask. Well, the surface of the glass needs to be flush which ensures there is no interference with the game should the ball hit the bolt AND if a player runs into the glass wall they won't get injured by the bolt.
